Seminar - Turnaround Case Study , MBO for Interim Directors and Managers, Interim opportunities in Private Equity portfolio companies plus networking

Interim managers are rightly concerned about the impact of the "credit crunch" and the recession coming down the track.

But one sector that is booming is Turnaround for obvious reasons.

Interim Directors and Managers brought into companies to effect change and Turnaround are in a unique position. As a result a number of interims, through Turnaround and Management Buy-Ins, have bought into companies but:

  • How do you really Turn a business around? Turnaround is not just dealing with the PAYE being overdue.
  • Where are the MBO opportunities and
  • Importantly what are the risks and potential rewards of an MBO?
Will the downturn and the credit crunch mean more or less MBOs?

Our next meeting is on Thursday evening 20th November in Central London.

Kevin Parkin an interim, and Interimconnect member, bought into DavyMarkham "One of the largest engineering workshops in Western Europe" supported by Private Equity (PE) will explain through his unique approach what he faced and how he and his management team turned the company fortunes around

Benefits of attending this event:

  • A case study presentation by Kevin Parkin MD of DavyMarkham (DM) on the Turnaround, his approach, methodology and how he led the buy-out and the lessons learnt.
  • A presentation by Paul Landsman an Associate Director of LGV Capital , the Private Equity fund on, as an interim, on what to look for or avoid in MBOs and opportunities for interims generally in PE portfolio companies. LGV Capital is one of Europe's leading and longest established private equity arrangers. The LGV team arranges MBOs and MBIs which typically have a minimum transaction size of £50 million.
  • Facilitated networking with other career interim managers
  • One of the main reasons for network events is the opportunity to meet you. If you apply for a network assignment and we have already met, it obviously helps in putting your application forward.
  • Of course the meetings also allow us to catch up with some of the 1000 + interims who have already attended Interimconnect events.
  • As this is a subscription free network we do request members to attend one meeting a year. The meetings are the "engine" of the assignments you see distributed.

Delegates can arrive from 5-15 pm onwards for networking with other career interims before the meeting starts at 6.00 pm finishing by 8.00 pm with the opportunity for further networking.
