Managing projects or programmes often requires people that can enable change as well as providing the methodology.
An interim project manager is well proven management resource which has the main following benefits:
1. Focussed on the key deliverables of the assignment.
2. As independents operating through their own limited companies they are not employees and therefore although they have to be aware of company politics do not have make compromises for the sake of their corporate career. We are not saying here that they have a "bull in a china shop" approach. Far from it. Simply that focus on achieving the project outcomes.
3. Interim project managers are only contracted for the period they are required for. There is no employment contact to unwind or redundancy as they are not employees.
4. Interim managers pay their own PAYE and NHI through their own limited companies and therefore there is no "on cost" to the hirer. They are paid a daily fee from which they pay those taxes.
